Is getting dressed hazardous to your health???

Is getting dressed hazardous to your health??? I am going to have to answer YES to that one!

I don't know what I did, but today when I was getting dressed, I just about collapsed with the SUDDEN pain in my back. HOLY CRAPOLA!! I have NEVER had issues with my back and then BAM today I am dying...

I just can't get comfortable. I have tried sitting, standing and walking and it doesn't seem to help. I don't want to lay down if I can help it... I am going to venture out to the grocery store and the fabric store and hopefully I will be able to get in and out of the car.

This really sucks - I have heard of peoples 'throwing their back out' and wondered what 'stupid' thing they did to 'throw it out' in the first place. I guess I could have gone out naked today, but it is still a little chilly for that!!!

So sorry that your back is out of whack. I have chronic neck spasms that force me into a state of no movement until the muscles relax. I can be doing the simplest thing when it goes out.
Hope it isn't anything too confining. Take good care.

Yikes -- I used to have a back problem and it's brutal (knocking on many wooden things right now so that it doesn't come back)
Just relax, and take care of yourself!

I have thrown my back out twice. Each time lifting a child out of the car who was too heavy for me to life. I feel for you. It is very painful. A heating pad helped me and stretching exercises.

That sometimes happens to me as well. I have no idea what causes it either. Hope it feels better though.

YUCK!!! My back hurts like hell these days but I think its cause of the extra 23 pounds I'm carrying.....

Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon.

I haven't done it myself but was with a friend when it happened to her. She wasn't really doing anything but bam...out it went. Tylenol, a hot bath and a couple of days will hopefully having you feeling like your old self.

That is not good my friend. I hope you're feeling better very, very soon. After almost passing out from back pain while we were in NY last summer, I really feel for you. I know how much it sucks.

Oh no!!! I hope that it is nothing too serious, and that you are feeling fine soon. It's just the worst when you can't get comfortable.

I'm soooo sorry. I have heard that back pain is HORRIBLE! I hope you can get it taken care of! Get better soon, friend!

PS- I probably wouldn't do the naked thing, myself. :-)

I've pulled muscles or pinched nerves or something before... all I know is that when it happens IT HURTS! I feel your pain sister. All I can do is take it easy until it works itself out and do whatever it takes to make it feel better... heating pads, hot bath, Ibuprofen, tequila, anything, LOL!

I am sorry to hear that. It is a simple thing that can throw you out of whack. Try an analgesic rub (not a heat base..A535 type). Or a chiro can be a godsend too.

Feel better!

Keep smilin!

OMG....I hope your feeling better now!! I used to have major back spasm and it SUCKS. What helped me was to lay flat on my back with my knees up with a heating pad.
Take care of yourself & keep us posted!!

Oh, I feel for you...know what back pain is like...many years back I just bent over to open the dog crate and couldn't stand up...have had chronic back problems since...daily pain!...I pray you don't end up with chronic problems. Try an over the counter muscle relaxant...you may find it makes a world of difference.

That can't be fun......
Hubby put out his back sneezing...and was in agony for weeks.
From sneezing, imagine that!!

OUCH OUCH OUCH. If it is still hurting now use a heating pad and then find yourself a good massage therapist. The word good should be underlined and in caps...get it!!
Hope you are feeling oodles better.
